Who is M'Keba Evone Barksdale

Born and raised in the small town of Gretna, Virginia, M’Keba discovered her passion for storytelling early in life. After graduating from college, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to pursue her dreams of acting in film and television. Since then, she has built an impressive resume, with appearances in several films, TV shows, commercials, and theatre productions.

You may recognize M’Keba from her roles in Coming 2 America, Hard Drive, The Night Before and Netflix’s Beauty in Black. Her ability to fully commit to her characters has earned her praise from directors, acting coaches, and teachers across the Southeast market.

Dedicated to honing her craft, M’Keba has trained at some of the most reputable studios, including Drama Inc., Actors Boutique, Robert Mello Studios, and Premier Actors Network. Currently, she continues her growth through weekly scene study classes at AMAW Atlanta, focusing on authenticity and freedom in her performances.

M’Keba has a particular love for dramatic roles and an affinity for period pieces. Outside of acting, she enjoys spending time with her French bulldog and her young son, whose playful energy keeps her inspired. Known for her charismatic smile and infectious personality, M’Keba lights up every room she enters and brings depth and sincerity to every role she takes on.
